Custom Golf Carts

The ultimate beach use vehicle! Our custom golf carts can handle the salty environment of beach living. Our specialty lies in using aluminum and stainless-steel parts that can withstand saltwater corrosion. We can customize the body, steering wheel, seats, dash, roof, sound system, and stretch it from a two-seater to a four or six-seater. Before you buy a golf cart, come see us and let’s build your cart together!

Our technicians are highly trained experts who can repair most carts. We work on Club Car Precedent, Tempo, E-Z-Go, GEM, Yamaha, and Toyota Smart Carts to name a few.

Custom Upgrades

Want to upgrade your cart? We can add a sound system for you. We currently use a high grade, marine quality sound system through Kicker or Wet Sounds. We can upgrade your tires, wheels, dash, seats, body kits or seat covers. We utilize Lazy Life seat covers that are custom made to your color and design specifications.

Street Legal Services

Who loves dealing with the DMV? We can help you with that. Whether you bring us your own cart or purchase a cart from us, we can take you through the whole process of making your cart street legal.

We offer replacement parts should your part not be repairable, or you just want to upgrade. This includes batteries, brakes, tires, wheels, spark plugs, dashes, windshields and more. If we don’t have it in stock, we’ll order it for you.

Have a 2-seater or 4-seater and need something larger? We can do that too! We’ll take your cart and stretch it to become either that 4-seater or 6-seater you need. You also have the option of purchasing one of our carts and customizing it, which can include converting it.

Golf Cart Technician

I’m a golf cart technician at Salty Rentals Sales & Service. Originally from Frederick, MD, I joined the Air Force in 2012 to become a Tactical Aircraft maintenance technician on the F-16 Fighting Falcon. In my previous job, I worked on Mach 2+ fighters by removing and replacing critical components and repairing engine, electrical, environmental, and pneudraulic systems. I recently separated in 2018 to pursue my career goal of being an Airline Transport Pilot and I am currently studying Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I enjoy repairing and custom building of golf carts and implementing my high standard of maintenance practices that I learned in the Air Force every day. I always follow service manuals and pride myself in the quality of maintenance and building that I deliver to customers.

My name is Tyler. I am a New Smyrna Beach native. Growing up, I always had a project. Whether it was garage-built go-karts or old cars my dad and I pulled out of an old barn. It was always a feeling of excitement that lasted from start to finish. I learned so much and was able to use my knowledge to help my friends and family with car troubles. After high school, I went to work with a family friend building rat rods. With him, I learned how to build from the frame up. We even put lambo-style does on a model A Ford. When the business owner moved out of state, I began working in healthcare but my time off was spent in the garage. Luckily, I was able to team up here at Salty Rentals. Now, everytime we start a new build, I get that same feeling of excitement that I felt as a kid.

I was born and raised in Manchester-by-the-sea,MA. However, my love of snow in New England sent me to the University of Denver to pursue my interest in business, but also skiing. The promise of even more snow sent me to Driggs, ID, minutes away from Grand Targhee Resort. It was here that I found my niche in customer services, from front desk to food and beverage. In the Tetons I also found myself as a ranch hand for 14 years in the summers. Many winters bartending in the snow always had me saying that I would trade my ski boots for flip flops and here I am. My desire for customer service has never waned, especially now that that the Florida vibe is under my skin.
